Objective
Protect your shared Dragon / Silver Pool life total while reducing the opposing player's shared total to 0 through creatures, Settlement pressure, and legal card effects.
Setup
- Shuffle the 35-card Silver Pool.
- Keep exactly four Settlements in the separate Builder Pool.
- Keep the two faction Dragons outside the Silver Pool as guardian cards.
- Draw 7 cards.
- If the opening 7 has no Reactor, reveal it, shuffle it back, and redraw 7 until the hand contains at least one Reactor.
- The player taking the first turn skips only their first normal Draw Step.
Turn Structure
- Untap / Upkeep: ready cards and resolve the beginning-of-turn AP decision.
- Draw: draw normally unless a legal beginning-of-turn effect replaces/skips that draw.
- Build / Mine / Main: build or rebuild up to one Settlement, mine up to one Reactor, and play cards as available AP allows.
- Combat: declare attackers; the defender assigns blockers.
- End: damage marked during that player's turn clears at the end of the individual player turn.
Reactors & AP
Reactors are persistent cards played from the Silver Pool. They remain in play after use.
AP is not a permanently banked resource across turns.
Settlements & Creature Capacity
- Settlements are outside the Silver Pool in the Builder Pool.
- Maximum four active Settlements.
- Build or rebuild at most one Settlement per turn.
- Each active Settlement provides base Creature Capacity 2.
- With four Settlements, the normal base maximum is eight creatures.
- Settlements have DEF, no ATK, and no printed ability.
- A destroyed Settlement returns to the Builder Pool and may be rebuilt on a later turn.
- Relics can increase the Creature Capacity of individual Settlements.
Card Types
| Type | Role |
|---|---|
| Creature — <Class> | Battlefield unit with ATK / DEF. Creatures do not have separate HP. |
| Reactor | Persistent AP infrastructure mined for printed AP. |
| Settlement | Builder Pool structure with DEF and base Creature Capacity 2. |
| Relic | Persistent universal modifier; may attach to or improve a Settlement. |
| Enhancement | Persistent, stackable effect or AP-trigger modifier. |
| Blessing | AP-paid effect card. |
Dragons are guardian cards outside the 35-card Silver Pool rather than ordinary deck cards.
Card Guide With Pictures
If you are new to Reactor Realms, use this picture guide first. Each card type looks different and plays a different role on the battlefield.

Creatures fight for you.
Creatures enter the battlefield, attack, block, and take part in combat. Their ATK is shown on the left and DEF on the right.

Reactors generate AP.
Play Reactors from your Silver Pool, then mine up to one Reactor on your turn to gain that card's printed AP. Reactors stay in play after being mined.

Settlements define your board.
Settlements come from the separate Builder Pool, not the Silver Pool. They have DEF and a base Creature Capacity 2, shown by the central settlement emblem.

Relics improve Settlements.
Relics are persistent items, usually attached to a Settlement. They can increase creature capacity and grant additional abilities or bonuses.

Enhancements provide ongoing effects.
Enhancements are persistent aura-style cards. They stay in play and can improve your board state or reward certain actions, including AP-related triggers.

Blessings are direct effect cards.
Blessings are played by paying AP for an immediate effect. They are the closest Reactor Realms equivalent to a quick tactical play or spell effect.
Legend cards exist in the full world, not the free Common-only deck preview.
The public print-and-play decks focus on Common cards so new players can learn the system. Legends belong to the wider Reactor Realms release and can still appear here as lore-facing previews.

Combat
The attacker declares attackers. The defending player assigns blockers. Creature combat damage is simultaneous.
- If damage dealt to a creature is at least its DEF, that creature is defeated.
- Surviving attacking damage can pressure a defender-chosen Settlement.
- Damage beyond the Settlement's DEF can reach the shared Dragon / Silver Pool life total.
- Newly summoned creatures cannot attack or use activated abilities until their next Ready / Untap, but they may defend during the opponent's turn.
Dragon Guardians & Blessings
- Each faction uses two separate sleeping Dragon guardian cards.
- The two Dragons share one 20 HP total.
- Dragon Blessings cost AP and exhaust/tap the Dragon used.
- Only one Dragon Blessing total may be activated per player turn across the two Dragons.
- Dragons cannot be attacked while their controller still has creatures in play.
Meltdown
Drawing from an empty Silver Pool triggers Meltdown instead of an immediate deck-out loss. The discard is recycled into the renewed Silver Pool and that player enters a restricted Recovery Turn.
Deck Construction
- Silver Pool: 35 cards.
- Construction limit: 65 Deck Points total.
- Builder Pool: exactly four Settlements, maximum 8 DP.
- DP by rarity: Common 1, Uncommon 2, Rare 3, Mythic 5.
- Current preview decks use 7 Reactors in the 35-card Silver Pool.
